The quality of every product or material analysis depends on the quality of the sample preparation which usually involves some form of sample dispersion. Due to a wide variety of dispersion apparatus, such as, planetary mills, ball mills, cutting mills, rotor/beater mills, jaw mills, disk mills, mortar grinders and more, it becomes possible to choose a machine exactly matching the sample material, sample quantity, grinding time and desired final fineness. Some dispersers are able to perform sample analysis during the dispersion process by monitoring thermal effects, gas evolution and other parameters.
