Company history began in 1852 when John Taylor found out that supplying equipment and chemicals to gold mining, laboratory and assay markets was more profitable than gold mining itself. Today VWR International, LLC, headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania, is a global laboratory supply and distribution company with worldwide sales in excess of $4.1 billion in 2013. VWR provides customers with an expansive choice of premiere products, such as chemicals, furniture, equipment, instruments, apparel and consumables, from a vast group of leading scientific manufacturers.

The history of Capp ApS dates back to year 1984 when the founder, Jørgen Cappelen, developed the first fully autoclavable pipette for the lab technicians at the University of Southern Denmark. Currently Capp ApS is a privately owned Danish manufacturing company that enjoys the reputation of a dependable supplier of liquid handling products all across the world. This reputation was gained by having strong focus on providing innovative and user friendly premium liquid handling equipment. Series of product additions in 2000s complemented and resulted in the proliferation of Capp business in more than 80 countries.

In 1887 the brothers Carl and Fritz Buddeberg established the Company
Gebr. Buddeberg – that time a small optician’s shop in Mannheim. Now
Buddeberg products and installations can be found in many laboratories,
operating within a broad range of analytical and production fields.
Among six other companies, Buddeberg GmbH is a founding member of
the LLG GmbH. LLG brings together the combined strength of 28
independent laboratory supply companies from across Europe and each
partner has direct access to the central warehouse in Meckenheim with
its storage capacity of 9,000 m2
