Description
Moisture analysis covers a variety of methods for measuring moisture content in both high level and trace amounts in solids, liquids, or gases and is used in many fields from food to polymer industry. Classic moisture analyzers use loss-on-drying (LOD) measurement technique while more advanced machines may employ spectroscopic methods. In LOD technique a sample of material is weighed, heated in an oven for an appropriate period, cooled in the dry atmosphere of a desiccator, and then reweighed. Moisture analyzers integrate all of the necessary components into a single convenient machine.
