Biosan was founded by Vasily Bankovsky (Ph.D., Molecular Biology) and Svetlana Bankovska (MSc., Biochemistry) from the Institute of Microbiology in the Latvian Republic Academy of Science. Company develops modern products for sample preparation in the field of genomics, proteomics and cellomics. Its efforts have been focused to help customers minimize the number of mistakes during procedures. Products include instruments for sample mixing, centrifugation, thermostating, cell cultivation, boxes for work with DNA, devices for biosafety, thermostatic control, spectrophotometry and fluorometry.

Founded in 1967 by Rolf Mischel and Hubert Lenders, GFL manufactures deep freezers, water baths, shaking water baths, water stills, incubators and shakers that comply with all valid European norms and bear the CE mark. Highest standards as regards the staff, technology, performance, materials and design are demanded during production. In addition to the continuous optimization of production processes, the Company promotes continual development and fast implementation of preventive measures for improved quality according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

When the corporate history of IKA began in 1910, China had not yet become a People’s Republic and the word “globalization” had not been invented yet. Today, the IKA group has over 800 employees at eight locations on four continents and is proud to provide customers such as BASF, Bayer or Procter & Gamble with a wide range of innovative equipment for numerous applications in R&D. IKA has gained a leading position with its innovative magnetic stirrers, mixers, overhead stirrers, shakers, homogenizers, mills, rotary evaporators, calorimeters, laboratory reactors and specially developed software.
