Description
Ribonucleic acid analysis is mainly used in protein expression research whereas deoxyribonucleic acid is mainly analyzed for genome sequencing purposes. Most widely used analytical techniques are rtPCR (exclusive for RNA), PCR, microarrays, blotting (Southern and Northern) and NGS (New Generation Sequencing). These techniques require the use of sequencing machines, thermocyclers, electrophoresis rigs and standard liquid handling equipment, such as pipettors and pipette tips.
